With the introduction of the 2000GT veloce, together with the 2000 Berlina and the 2000 Spider veloce, in Gardone 1971 Alfa Romeo had a small compact sports coupe with very good driving specifications, that with the effective brakes and the limited slip differential had only very few competitors in this class. It was the last of the Bertone Coupes of the 105 series. Just as the dashboard the center console was entirely new.37459 cars were built
