The fourth and last generation of the Spider was launched in 1989 and ran in production in 1990 until 1993. The last cars were road registered 1994. As well as a 2000 version a 1600 version was available for the italian market. The Spider received new taillights and new front and rear bumpers and many technical modifications. The interior and the dashborad were redesigned. The car was available in only a small number of colours, which were significantly different from those of the third generation
