The Ferrari 400 GT was a modernised version of the 365GT4 2+2. The main difference was the increased engine capacity of 4,8l with a single cylinder capacity of 400ccm. The wheels were no longer center bolt, they were mounted on 5 studs. 502 cars were built until the introduction of the fuel injected 400i. 147 of these cars had a manual gearbox, the others had an automatic gearbox. The 365GT4 2+2 - 400 - 412 was the Ferrari with the longest production period of 17 years
