With the presentation of the 2000 Spider veloce, together with the 2000 Berlina and the 2000GT veloce in Gardano in 1971 Alfa Romeo a very powerfull sport cabriolet with very high driving specifications, that with the effektive brakes and the limited slip differential had nearly no competitors in his class. The Spider had a new dashboard. The body was that of the 1750 version. Until end of 1977 21993 cars were built.
